I was very excited to receive these wonderful samples of the range of Castle Howard Riddle Trail Gift Shop merchandise featuring my artwork and the Geoffrey the lion and peacock characters. The items look fantastic and I hope they prove to be popular with visitors to Castle Howard.

Here are a few images from the 2011 Metcalfe Briggs Surveyors promotional calendar which I completed in December. Metcalfe Briggs Surveyors wanted to inform clients about the wide variety of services they offer, but wanted them to be illustrated in a humorous way in order to make their calendar stand out from the many others landing on peoples desks at this time of year.

Here is a small illustration of three Shabti figures from the tomb of Tutankhamun. Shabti figures were made from a range materials e.g wood, faience and came in various shapes and sizes. They were entombed with the dead king to act as servants and labourers in the next life.
